Love the product, would recommend.

Pros: Official quality of everything from tatami mats, shikifuton, kakefutons, and their covers are amazing. Soft and strong.
Although the mattress is incredibly firm and takes a few days to get used too, I can already tell that within this week, I physically feel better than I had on my normal soft mattress even before i'm fully used to this.
Cons: The bed is heavy, the tatami mats are very heavy too! Might need a friend to help move this bed set around. Could have a small warning somewhere in the purchasing to let buyers be aware at the weight of these items. Though if there were disclaimers, maybe make them a little more obvious because I missed them! The tatami mats had shavings around the edges of them and could be a little messy unless you vacuum them clean.

A personal con to me- there were three areas on the shikifuton that were cut open and had a black streak across the exposed fabric. A bit unfortunate, but mistakes can happen; nothing a little bit of fabric cleaner wasn't able to take care of sufficiently.

With those two points, I'm having it be a 4 star because it is an experience that takes getting used too: The first few nights are rough to sleep on it, but as countless reviews i've seen before investing in this, they all say the same. "The first week is rough, but once you've gotten used to it, you'll feel way better than ever before from your old mattress lifestyle. More energy through the day, and your hips and back will thank you as your body strengthens up with this sleep style." And i'm a believer even this early on that it is true: My hips, that notably pain me most days, feel perfectly fine these last few days.

Got the complete bundle. An amazing bed , super soft pillow an kakefuton! Very awesome designs on the covers. Shipping was fast an great customer service. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase an look forward to buy more from this company! Highly highly recommend

I am rarely impressed when I try something new to me. Wow, this is a most welcome experiment!
To start, every item of the shikifuton/tatami bundle was first class, from quality materials and construction to final finish touches.
For the past several years, I have totally disliked and been discouraged with the foam or “hybrid” mattresses in a box. My back has ached for the past six years (trying four different mattresses, up to 14” thick). Well, the first night on my shikifuton was exactly what I dreamed of. Second night was even better! Magically, my back hasn’t felt this good for years!
I also purchased the silk pillows and both types of buckwheat hull pillows. Interesting to try…perfect for me for both back and side sleeping!
This is what comfy and best for your body sleep is all about.

Yes, I ordered the bundle only to find out after, I inquired, as to when my tatami mat would be delivered was I finally notified that Jlife oversold the tatami mats. Isn’t there any inventory control????
