Discover the Art of Floor Sleeping

Premium Shikifuton Mattresses for a Healthier, Minimalist Home

Experience the comfort, simplicity, and tradition of Japanese floor sleeping with our shikifuton mattresses that come complete with a removable, washable cover. Designed for everyday use, small-space living, and minimalist homes, these futons offer the perfect blend of craftsmanship, durability, and practical care.

Handmade to honor true Japanese specifications, each shikifuton in this collection includes a custom-fit fabric cover available in dozens of beautiful patterns — making your floor bed both functional and stylish.

Why Choose a Shikifuton with a Removable Cover?

• Extra Protection for Everyday Use: The included cover shields your futon from daily wear, moisture, dust, and pets, helping preserve shape, cleanliness, and longevity.
• Washable & Easy to Maintain: Simply remove the cover and toss it in the wash — ideal for those who want a hygienic and low-maintenance sleep setup.
• Style & Function in One Purchase: Choose from nearly 100 Japanese-inspired fabrics. From subtle neutrals to bold traditional motifs, your futon becomes part of your home’s aesthetic, not just a mattress.
• More Value Than Buying a Mattress Alone: Bundling your futon with a cover ensures the perfect fit, reduces overall cost, and gives you a ready-to-use setup from day one.

The Benefits of Sleeping Japanese-Style

• Improved Back Support: The firm, even sleep surface helps promote alignment and may ease pressure points.

• Breathable Natural Materials: Our 100% cotton futons regulate temperature for cooler, more comfortable sleep.

• Minimalist Living Made Simple: Roll and store your futon during the day to maximize space in small apartments, studios, or multifunctional rooms.

• Authentic Tatami Experience: Pair with tatami mats for a traditional Japanese bed system rooted in centuries of craftsmanship.

Handcrafted Quality You Can Feel

Each shikifuton cover is handmade in the USA. Our futons are layered with cotton batting to create a durable, supportive, and naturally comfortable sleep surface.

Your removable cover is sewn to order using premium Japanese fabrics — giving you a mattress that is as beautiful as it is functional.
