Collection: Takenomori Fabric Collection

This intricately pattered Japanese fabric is decorated with bamboo stalks and various traditional Japanese patterns in a rich navy and cream color palette.

The word takenomori (竹の森) is Japanese for "bamboo forest". Bamboo is both physically and culturally ubiquitous across Japan and much of Eastern Asia. Since ancient times, people have relied on this sturdy grass for its sustainability, durability, and versatility. Bamboo is used in construction, arts, crafting, fabric, medicines, and even cuisine around the world.
