J-Life Shipping and Lead Times

We at J-Life International make every effort to ship your order timely and via the most reliable shipping method. All of our textile items are hand made in the US based upon authentic Japanese traditions and best practices. (Our Tatami Mats are imported but made from Japanese materials.) We take great pride in the production of our products and never cut a corner solely to meet a deadline.  Please be patient with us, especially during especially busier production periods. 

Please review your order carefully before checkout to ensure all details, including your shipping address and selected items, are correct. We’re happy to assist with changes or cancellations, but we cannot guarantee they can be made before shipment once the order has been submitted. Customers are responsible for any costs resulting from order changes or inaccuracies, including reshipment fees, carrier correction charges, or return shipping costs.

Flat Rate US Ground Shipping Costs

  • $12.95 on orders less than $99
  • $18.95 on orders less than $199
  • $29.95 on orders less than $299
  • $39.95 on orders less than $399
  • $49.95 on orders less than $499
  • Free domestic and lower 48 shipping on orders over $499!
  • Orders costing $1,000.00 or more will be shipped with a signature required for delivery

     

Shikifutons and Tatami Mats

  • Ships via small parcel carrier; Fedex Ground or UPS Ground.
  • Leave our Massachusetts warehouse within 1-2 business days with most orders shipping within 24-hours. Orders received after end of day Friday through the weekend ship out the next business day.
  • Orders containing made-to-order textile items will ship together once all items are finished. A shipping confirmation and tracking information will be sent once the entire order has been shipped.
  • Orders may include more than one box and could arrive in separate deliveries. Tatami mats each ship in their own box.

Made-To-Order Textile Items: Shikifuton Covers, Protective Covers, Kakefuton Covers, Pillows, and Noren

  • Ship via small parcel carrier; Fedex Ground or UPS Ground.
  • As these are made-to-order items, they commonly require 5-7 business days to produce with most orders shipping within 5 business days.
  • A shipping confirmation and tracking information will be sent once the entire order has been shipped.

Fabric Cut Yardage and Lifestyle Items

  • Ships in 1-2 business days.
  • Orders containing made-to-order textile items will ship together once all items are finished. A shipping confirmation and tracking information will be sent once the entire order has been shipped.

We are happy to ship all over the world via DHL International shipping. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout. Please note that this shipping cost does not include any applicable duties, taxes, or fees, which are the responsibility of the recipient.
