WARM!
The cover looks very nice, and seems to be made out of a substantial fabric - I don't see this wrinkling easily - yet, it's still soft against the skin, and the design is very sharp. The kakebuton insert stays in place within the cover despite there not being corner ties. I'm looking forward to using this in the winter...it's too warm to use in August, even with my A/C on. I am learning that a kakebuton is a little different from a western comforter. It's a substantial blanket with a good amount of physical weight, and it seems to be very well designed to lock in heat because of this. I sized up (king kakebuton for queen shikibuton), which I would normally do with a down comforter, but in hindsight, I probably should have gotten the same size to match the shikibuton just to minimize the bulk and weight. Either way, I'll take it out again in October, and I expect it to keep me really well insulated on cold nights.
