The J-Life Buckwheat Hull Pillow, or Soba Gara Makura, adheres to centuries of Japanese tradition by creating a pillow that is simple, comfortable, and durable. In Japan, the most popular type of pillow is not filled with down feathers or synthetic fiberfill. It is filled with buckwheat hulls- the tiny seed casings of the buckwheat plant.

- 100% organic buckwheat hull filling.

I bought two buckwheat pillows and two neck rolls and I absolutely love them! The pillows were smaller than I expected, but this didn't affect how I use my pillow at all. The lavender was definitely worth it. It makes me feel like I'm entering a spa every time I lay down. I also love the rustling sound of the hulls.

The pillow is great! I took out a regular size sandwich bag of hulls and now the pillow contours my head and neck perfectly. I gave 4 stars because the yellow color was much darker than what the website shows, more like a dark mustard color, which after all is easy on the eyes. As another customer stated, the pattern makes you happy looking at it and yes that is so true!

I recently began having some neck pain, and was looking for a buckwheat pillow that would stabilize my neck while lying on my back. I finally found one that was the right size for my neck support at J-LIfe. 3.5" is perfect!!! (For reference, most of the ones I have seen elsewhere were at least 4.5"). In addition, I absolutely love the gold sakura pattern!!! It makes me happy every time I see it!
