The wise old turtle carries his shell, his protection and home, with him. This is an excellent metaphor for Buddhist mindfulness and self-reflection. Like the turtle, we meditate to find peace within ourselves when the outside world is difficult.
May our Zen turtle's positive energy join you in your contemplative spaces to bring you ease and spiritual peace.
The hanzi (Chinese character) engraved on the back of the statue means "Longevity."
Also available in this collection are the meditating cat, dog, and frog statues!
