Our 35.5" x 77" Goza is similar to the top layer of a traditional Tatami Mat and measures about 1/8" in thickness. This tatami rug is handwoven of rush grass in the traditional Japanese style with a black canvas border.

The Goza Mat is very nice. It reminds me of traditional Indian/South Indian mats from centuries ago as well as those in current use.
United StatesI like the product but the packaging was absolutely terrible. It was taped messy and had some open spaces, so I wouldn’t have been surprised if there were bugs or dirt in the package. Luckily there wasn’t, but if it was delivered on a rainy day, I would highly doubt that it would have been delivered safely.

Beautiful, sturdy looking mat. It packs down to nothing and is so light! I'll be using it on road trips and day excursions as I frequently picnic when traveling. Bought this as an add-on to meet the free shipping threshold. Glad I did.

The Goza mats survived poor packaging. Luckily the product is good. There was no wrapping around mats. One of the lid ends on one box delivered had completely fallen away and was missing, on the other, box the lid open with mats half out of boxes. It was a miracle there was no damage
