Quality Products Excellent Customer Service
I ordered the 4-in full size futon and an unscented buckwheat pillow. Both arrived in perfect condition. The products are of the highest quality and no chemical odors were present, just the mild smell of fresh cotton on the mattress. I received a buckwheat pillow scented with lavender, but I had ordered unscented. When I called to resolve this mix-up, customer service was eager to make things right. They promptly sent me a return label and made an order for an unscented pillow. I'm exceedingly pleased with the quality of their products and appreciate the diligence of their customer service department. As a result of my positive experience, I also ordered a 3-in twin mattress because the 4-in full size mattress is quite challenging to maneuver without help. I would definitely recommend twin size for any single person, and perhaps even for couples... Just put two twins together. I think the twin size will be more practical since I will be able to move it around and hang it to air out with ease. I truly appreciate this company for making quality natural products, which can be so challenging to find these days. They stand behind their products and prioritize their customers. Finally, I love sleeping on my futon. I switched from a regular mattress, and I am not disappointed at all. It just feels right to be sleeping on something natural and more solid. I wake up feeling rested and strong. Thank you, J-Life!
Adore my futon
I was skeptical about ordering a futon online but I am so glad that I finally ordered from J-life. My futon arrived in a timely manner and it was well packaged and protected from the elements. I appreciated the notifications about the status of my order, shipment and E.T.A. I found my futon well made from quality materials and it promises to be durable. It is very comfortable and truly wish I had ordered it sooner. Very satisfied with my transaction with J-life and looking forward to future purchases. You have a new customer here. Sincerely, Paul Johnson
not too firm, not too soft, just right
stitching
i enjoy my new futon. however i am a bit concerned. the stitching is bad in several areas along the borders. i have had to clip loose thread and can see a potential of one area bursting due to poor folding of material prior to stitching. futon is only 2 weeks old. might be coming apart at the seams soon. We Are Both Loving Our Futons!
Like going back in time 30 years, when our city had REAL futon stores, not what passes for futons around here these days, and we had the pleasure of getting to sleep on cotton mattress futons with well-made covers. Having made the switch to platform beds and (firm) innerspring mattresses over the decades, our backs were still suffering from too-soft conditions. The past three years featured a very nice new wall-bed with a firm mattress but also a LOT of yoga videos done in a small bedroom area, on the floor, when the bed was put up into its surrounding cabinetry. (Attempt to remedy back pain etc.) NOW, with the excellent J-Life (2 cot-size) futons and their covers, side by side on the floor, it's the best experience so far: still room-saving floor space by day with futons rolled up and put aside, plus fabulous sleeping on the 3-inch futons on the concrete floor (there is a very dense-pile industrial style carpet with required high-rise noise-reducing underlayment pad). Yoga naturally continues as a good thing to do (our combined ages being currently 145) but mind you, it is also good for the back and spine to not only sleep on the futons on a hard surface, but also to deal with them (e.g. rolling them up and folding covers etc. -- helps the knees and arms/shoulders to do those type activities we think -- therefore we got 2 cot sizes rather than one larger size, for ease in handling plus storing in walk-in closet by day). Great company name by the way! (Like that J part!*) Thanks for all, *J W and J B
