Hagama Rice Donabe

This ceramic rice bowl can be used with many different appliances to cook a perfect pot of rice every time. The donabe is suitable for use with gas stoves, microwave ovens, oven and halogen cooktops. It is not suitable for use with induction heating. Hand wash only with a mild soap and dry thoroughly between uses.

To use:

Wash your rice and soak in water for 30 minutes.

Add drained rice and water to the donabe.

Heat on medium heat until boiling, then turn heat to low and cook for 10 minutes.

Increase to high heat for 10 seconds and then remove from heat and allow to sit for 15 minutes.
